The Garden of Eden
Share
In the beginning long before time was measured, the World was full of magic. Not the average garden variety type but real, elemental magic, the type that coursed through veins. Humans were but one race among many, and they too held magic.
Before the invention of time the World was connected to the Ether, the source of all things, which flowed with the oneness of all. Everything that was needed was created and that which was created was abundant. In the distance surrounding the World, glorious mountains like giant watchful sentries, formed a protective barrier in which all thrived. Within the sanctuary nature blossomed and rivers flowed with purity. Waterfalls laughed with joy and lush forest woodlands embellished with hues of green, amber and red, danced to the rhythm of the Earth. Fields of flowers of all varieties blanketed the land with splashes of colour as far as the eyes could see. All creatures great and small lived as equals, companions, friends. It was unity, a paradise where everything vibrated in harmony and lived cohesively as one. There were no spells cast and harm to none because the world itself was living, breathing magic. Life in the World flourished just as it was designed to be.
In the very centre of the World, the ancient Crystalline tree of life stretched high into the sky, the very tops obscured by the clouds. Giant stones carved from the mountains, encircled the base, grounding and shielding the energy and protecting the balance. Crystal pathways meandered in all directions branching out from the roots of the centre of life. The tree itself was ethereal, a luminous prism that refracted the light from the source above to everything below. The energy from all living things vibrated and hummed in unison, as the eternal flow of light reflected upon the crystals like giant antenna, bouncing the collective energy of creation back to all. The reverberation of the crystalline light echoed across the land. All who lived in the Garden of Eden were at peace and their hearts were full of love, harmoniously woven together by the connection of all things.
Today, after many eons have passed, the connection to source feels severed as though we've lost something intrinsic but can’t quite remember what it was. There’s a distant longing in our souls for reconnection that we can’t explain. Now if we quieten the mind, remain present in the moment and listen carefully, we can hear the voice of remembrance whispering ‘Let's return to the garden… let's go home.'
May your hearts and minds be filled with love and peace,
Melanie Saint-James
